First Hawaiian Bank Main Branch

This bank is by far the worse bank I have ever encountered. Customer service take at least two months to get back to you on the app, if you call they will say another department will reach out to you and they never will. Safe yourself the time and do banking somewhere else

Absolutely the worst bank I have ever dealt with. The customer service is a complete disaster — expect to sit on hold for 30 minutes to over an hour every single time you call. No one values your time, and getting a straight answer feels impossible. I paid off my vehicle loan in full, and it has now been exactly 30 business days (not including holidays) and I STILL have not received my title. This is unacceptable and beyond frustrating. There is no sense of urgency, no communication, and no accountability. This entire experience has been a nightmare from start to finish. I would never recommend this bank to anyone. Save yourself the stress and take your business somewhere else.

By far the worst bank I’ve ever dealt with in my life these last 6 years for my car loan. It’s been a headache from start to finish with them (from the first payment made to the pay off made in person). I cannot explain in enough detail of how you should take your business elsewhere. Extremely slow service whether on the phone or in person, disorganized communication and operations, different answers every time you contact them re: your loan, withdraws, etc. in short, I paid off my car loan with them in Feb. Was sent multiple letters that the payoff MUST be made in person, as the auto payment would not take out the payoff amount. Went in, paid off the loan. Received an email the same day that the auto payment would be taken out of my bank account at the end of Feb for “March payment”. Bank Mgr assured me that I should ignore the email since the loan is already paid off and that it “never processes the final payment online.” Guess what!? March 2nd the payment comes out of my account towards a loan that was paid off the month before, and now it’s back and forth with getting my money back, all while still waiting on the title that was supposed to only take 5-7 business days to receive. Take your business and money anywhere else. Save yourself the stress of dealing with constant incompetence.

Been there twice now and My All favorite place to bank is in Kapahulu's First Hawaiian Bank. Had to get to the bank and the line was a bit long. This nice young lady came to offer her help. Walked over to the counter where You also can get help. I was able to pay my rent and balance it out. Of course I had to initial here, here in and here. Ok, She did balancing.. Dawn! I guess I left my keys on her desk because she was sprinting to get it back to me. Sprinting.. that's customer service...

Without a doubt the worst bank I've ever done business with. Call center operators are rude and snarky if they are even working hours from 9-4 typically aren't upheld. No online mortgage services are available unless you hold an outrageously expensive checking or savings account with the banks. Hidden fees and expenses galore... No reason to do business with this disgrace to Hawaii.
