After doing some research online and considering the location, we felt this hotel would be suitable for our vacation. The hotel is conveniently located in the center of Waikiki Beach and is within walking distance of the beach, which was very convenient. There is also a convenience store on the bottom floor, which makes it easy to grab beverages or snacks. Another plus is that there is a police station in front of the hotel, so the area feels more secure at night. The main downside of this hotel is the elevator situation. It can be very inconvenient, as many guests are often waiting to get on. During busy hours, you may have to wait five minutes or more before getting into an elevator. The rooms are outdated, but they are spacious. We stayed on the Diamond Head side with an ocean view. The noise level can be annoying at night, especially if you are on a lower floor. We stayed on the 19th floor and could still hear people shouting, along with loud motorcycle and car exhaust sounds. That said, it was not bad enough to keep us awake all night, especially after a long day when we were too tired to notice much once we fell asleep. Overall, the hotel was convenient and suitable for our trip, but next time I would probably book a hotel directly on the beach and a little farther north.

My company held an event here on in late June 2026 and my team stayed at the Hyatt for 5 days. The rooms were magnificent: very clean and the beds were incredibly comfortable. All staff members were amazing. Our event Sales Manager Hanako Lemelle was amazing! She worked with my team effortlessly and was incredibly responsive to our emails. Upon our arrival, Hanako greeted us and consistently checked with us throughout our setup to make sure we were happy and had anything we needed. We have done over 200 events throughout the USA and Hanako definitely ranks as one of the very best Event Sales Managers we have ever had.

Having stayed at several Hyatt properties around the world, I can confidently say this is one of the finest Hyatt hotels my family and I have ever experienced. We stayed for four nights, and from the moment we arrived, we knew we had made the right choice. The hotel's location is exceptional—directly across from Waikiki Beach and Duke’s monument, with convenient access to great restaurants, shopping center, and everything needed for a relaxing Hawaiian getaway. What truly made our stay unforgettable, however, was the exceptional hospitality of the staff. The front desk team welcomed us with genuine warmth, kindness, and professionalism. Grace was outstanding—courteous, attentive, and genuinely committed to making us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the lobby. Her thoughtful approach set the tone for our entire stay. Grace was wonderful, friendly, approachable, and a pleasure to interact with. Every conversation with her left us feeling like valued guests rather than just another reservation. The level of service throughout our stay reflected everything you would expect from a world-class luxury resort. Every team member (from housekeeping to concierge) we encountered was professional, accommodating, and eager to ensure our experience was nothing short of exceptional. It was clear that guest satisfaction is a top priority, and that commitment was evident in every interaction. While this is certainly a premium-priced property, the outstanding service from Grace and rest of the staff, beautiful location, and overall quality of the experience make it worth every penny. It's rare to find a hotel where every member of the team consistently delivers such genuine hospitality. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Hyatt Regency Waikiki Beach to anyone looking for an unforgettable vacation experience. My family and I are already looking forward to returning, and we sincerely thank the entire team for making our stay so memorable. Your dedication to exceptional service did not go unnoticed.

Grace at the front desk absolutely made our honeymoon stay at the Hyatt Regency Waikiki. From the moment we checked in, she took the time to walk us through our Explorist benefits and made sure we understood exactly what was available to us. She clearly took genuine pride in making sure we felt celebrated, and worked behind the scenes to get us a beautiful room that made our trip feel truly special. It’s rare to find someone who goes above and beyond the way Grace did. She was warm, attentive, and treated our honeymoon like it mattered to her too. If you’re staying at this property, we hope you’re lucky enough to have Grace take care of you at check-in! Gracias Grace!!

Location is great, can even see (or hear if your husband is loud enough) your family at the beach if you pick the right spot. Close to shopping and many food spots. The room could use a little updating and the bathroom could definitely have used an exhaust fan, but other things like the convenient towel service, beach chair rentals, and water refill stations really helped out. Be warned though, the parking lot here will leave you spinning in circles. We planned around some days we were go out with the car and other days to leave it parked since moving it was it's own type of hassel.
