Overall, I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. I’ve grown up visiting the islands and staying a myriad of Bonvoy hotels so this isn’t my first rodeo. The pros going for this hotel are for sure the service and the location and the adult-only infinity pool that overlooks the ocean. I don’t believe any other hotel on Waikiki Beach offers such a pool and it is AMAZING for relaxing and taking a dip in the water. Additionally, every staff member I interacted with was very kind and helpful, but our roomkeeper, Roger, provided the best customer service and really made this trip special. He always greeted my fiancé and I as “handsome” and “beautiful” and would leave our room with a beautiful towel swan and flowers and sweet, lovely notes. He really was the highlight of our trip and for anyone lucky enough to have him as their room attendant, you are in for a treat! Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort, GIVE THIS MAN A RAISE!!!! HE IS SUPERB AT HIS JOB AND IS SO DESERVING OF IT!!!!! If there was anything to truly nitpick, I would just mention that I wish I had known this was a more family-focused hotel. While there is nothing wrong with this inherently, I was looking forward to a more romantic and relaxed stay. However, this is truly a nitpick comment, and I loved that there is an option to go to a family pool or adults-only pool. I would stay here again in the future for sure and I am so bummed to be leaving Roger’s amazing hospitality, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Waikiki Beach Resort.

The Sheraton Waikiki truly delivered during our stay. You simply cannot beat the location. It puts you right in the heart of Waikiki with quick access to downtown Honolulu and everything the area has to offer. Our room featured breathtaking views that made waking up every morning a highlight of the trip. Spending time unwinding in the infinity pool overlooking the ocean was pure relaxation. The service throughout our stay was consistently friendly and welcoming. We also loved the sheer convenience of the property: there are great shops right inside the lobby and even more just a short walk out the front door. Having the Royal Hawaiian Center food court directly across from the main entrance was a huge bonus for quick and budget-friendly meal options. This was not my first stay and will not be my last stay at the Sheraton. Highly recommended!
Our stay at the Sheraton Waikiki was spectacular! This hotel offers so many advantages, starting with its unbeatable central location right on the beach. There are several excellent dining options onsite, including RumFire and Kai Market, which offers a breakfast buffet for $42 per person (fully covered through the Costco package we purchased). One of the highlights was the variety of complimentary activities available to us. We participated in morning meditation, yoga, lei making, and bracelet making, all of which simply required advance booking. The hotel also conveniently stored our luggage for several hours after checkout, allowing us to enjoy our last day without carrying our bags around. We booked an ocean-view room overlooking the infinity pool, and the views were incredible. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves and waking up to ocean views each morning made for a truly relaxing experience. The bathroom was another standout feature, equipped with a fully functioning bidet. We also appreciated the complimentary reusable water bottles provided during our stay. The lobby and common areas offered plenty of entertainment, including a pool table, shuffleboard and foosball. Despite being a very large and popular resort, the property was well managed. The only downside was how busy it could get, with crowds frequently gathering in the lobby and common areas. However, even during peak times, elevator wait times were surprisingly short, typically no more than 1–2 minutes. Overall, we had an excellent stay and would gladly return. The combination of location, amenities, complimentary activities, and beautiful ocean views made this one of the best hotel experiences we have had in Waikiki.
The view itself speaks for the value of this hotel. 🐢🌊 we have the high ocean front view and we can see turtles swim by!!! Every staff is friendly and attentive. The house keeping service is top notch (shout out to the wonderful Jennifer who’s always so friendly and does amazing job). Bed is comfortable, pool is so fun and refreshing after swimming in the ocean. We are absolutely enjoying our stay and will totally be back!!
Great location, disappointing overall experience The only thing this resort truly has going for it is its unbeatable beachfront location in the heart of Waikīkī. Unfortunately, almost everything else fell short of expectations, especially considering the premium price. The rooms are surprisingly small and feel cramped, with very little space to unpack or move around comfortably. For what this resort charges, I expected much more spacious and modern accommodations. This seems to be a recurring comment from other guests as well. The breakfast buffet was the biggest disappointment. We stayed for 7 days, and the buffet offered virtually the exact same food every single morning. There was almost no variety, and after the second or third day it became repetitive and uninspiring. The quality was average at best and nowhere near what you’d expect from a flagship Waikīkī resort. Other guests have also noted that the breakfast is underwhelming and lacks quality and variety. The hotel also feels extremely crowded. The pools, elevators, and common areas were constantly packed, making it feel more like a busy convention hotel than a relaxing beach resort. Many travelers have made similar observations about the crowds and limited amenities. Overall, you’re paying mostly for the location rather than the experience. If you value spacious rooms, a quality breakfast, and a more relaxing atmosphere, there are better options in Waikīkī for the money. I wouldn’t choose to stay here again.
