Ohia Waikiki Studio Suites

Stayed here in April 2026. Overall, we liked it for the price, but there are definitely areas that need improvement. The cleanliness could be better there was noticeable dirt on the floors. The beds were okay, but the pillows were flat and uncomfortable, so upgrading those would make a big difference. Unfortunately, our stay was impacted by noisy neighbors downstairs who blasted music for two nights in a row until 4 AM, which really ruined our sleep. There was also a strong smell of smoke in the hallways, which was unpleasant. The hotel could use a full refresh, as the hallways and rooms feel outdated compared to modern standards. The elevator situation was also frustrating it’s small, slow, and sometimes out of service, which made getting around inconvenient. Overall, I’d rate my stay a 3 out of 5 based on my experience. I hope they address these issues, as it has potential to be much better.

Booked a room for ten days and when I was checking in they told me I had to change rooms for my last night and charged me the most for that last night. Very inconsiderate. I travel with a five year old and it was a big inconvience for me and my son to have to pack up on our last day of vacation and move to another room. I am a member of this hotel and stay here often, but to be inconvenienced is making me decide to stay somewhere else. It used to be a better place, but is going downhill fast. Pool not open and hotel is showing a lot of wear. It's too bad, because it used to be a good place to stay. Also parking used to be cheaper and there was self parking. Now parking is so expensive and it's only valet. Not worth getting a rental car to park there. So disappointing. Not going to stay here ever again. So I asked the front desk when our room would be ready and they told me 3 pm. So I'm paying the most for my last night and won't have a room till 3pm? That's totally stupid. Getting kicked out of our room , paying the most for a room, not even for a full day? So ridiculous. This hotel should just shut down. This is the worst I have experienced in any hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. There are better places in Waikiki. I hope this place goes under, because they really shouldn't be in operation. Look at the reviews that are one star. So many of them. THIS PLACE SUCKS BIGTIME.

I’ll start with the good. The staff is very friendly and the location is amazing! It has wifi but dropped several times so couldn’t watch streaming on tv. It provides the bare minimum in terms of amenities you need. You cannot go wrong with this location either. It’s in the center of Waikiki. Now the quality of the lodging itself was the worst I ever been to. Thank god the bedding was clean, but I spotted trash from previous visitors behind the tv and shelves. The pillows were pancake flat and uncomfortable. I was greeted with a lipstick stain on the lamp! Lips! On the lampshade! That got me. They couldn’t replace that or try to clean it off?! The curtains had holes and stain and were held together by tape. Tape! Lmao! Some things don’t cost that much to replace. I would not spend $100/night here. I got a discount on Priceline for under that, so good thing. Only 1 elevator worked. Thank goodness the staff allowed guests access to the service elevator. On top of all that Board of Water Supply had a scheduled maintenance so the whole building is without water today from 8-5. It really made me wonder if the workers were being taken advantage of because this place is in the heart of Waikiki. It should not look the way it does.

This place is horrendous. Management should truly be ashamed of themselves for allowing this establishment to get to this rundown point. Roaches all throughout, stained carpets with an odor, holes in curtains, no A/C, loud construction, just to name a few. All while offering ZERO compensation or discounts for how terribly rundown this place is. This place has a fiduciary responsibility to its customers to at least have the hotel operate at basic standards. Otherwise, the hotel is simply scamming every single person that stays here without doing any renovations first because as it currently is, it is almost uninhabitable. Do not stay here.

Unfortunately checked into a room full of cockroaches in the bed and bathroom so I HAD to check out early and the receptionist guy looked like he didn’t know what he was doing, I had to go out of my way to ask him about the process of refunding my deposit because he just grabs our name and looks at us instead of saying ur checked out… like a normal employee would. From this point forward I had a feeling they didn’t check us out So I go back and ask and that’s exactly what it was! Was told I stayed in that room the entire trip because nobody else did and now we have to pay for two hotels. Absolutely filth!
