Very nice rooms, great view on to the Hilton Fireworks every Friday. Just outside the hotel is a reef where you can see ton of fish and also turtles while snorkeling. Service Staff in particular cleaning staff was very friendly and always tried to provide great service. 10min by foot to Waikiki Beach. Beds are very comfortable.
The only mid thing is the MonkeyPod Restaurant. There the food is just not worth its price but there are a ton of great restaurants nearby that you can easily walk to.

We really really enjoyed our stay at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort! The staff is incredibly kind and helpful. The room with the ocean view was just right for the price! Every night there was live music from the islands. The food at their restaurants was great. They were within a short walk to a primary street full of shops and stores. So many restaurants along the way as well. The beach is heavy with coral pieces. Highly recommend to wear some sort of aqua socks or footwear if you are close to the hotel. Further down the beach we didn't need them. If we ever go back to Honolulu, we would definitely stay at the Outrigger again!
First time visiting Honolulu with children including teenagers; this was the perfect property.
The entire hotel staff is friendly and attentive; the rooms are spacious and showers have a good flow. Good lighting.
The resort offers free classes for recreation for families and the pool is thoroughly clean. Best views of beach are at the Monkey Top restaurant. The beach views are magnificent and the beach though small—provides gentle wVes for swimming.
The best part of the week was meeting Boni, a friendly housekeeper that greeted us with Aloha daily and ensured we had a clean room to return to each day. The whole family appreciated his kindness and help.
We recommend the hotel for families and couples. Centrally located and a great place to relax.
Excellent hotel, 10/10 for service/staff, comfortable and clean rooms with good AC, and walkable location. I will say, the beach right in front of the hotel is all rocks - it is not a sandy bottom in the water, which we were surprised by. We went to the beach on the right which still had rocks, but not as much. We tried to go to the main Beach on Waikīkī as we learned there are no rocks but, there were canoe races and it was shut down for those. Still, it was a good stay overall and there is plenty to see and do. They have live performances and the food options are good at the restaurants.
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Outrigger Reef Waikiki Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived until the day we left, the service was exceptional and truly made our vacation unforgettable.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with an incredible location right on the beach, comfortable rooms, and a welcoming Hawaiian atmosphere. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, but two people deserve special recognition.
Frank and Rick went above and beyond in every possible way. They were genuinely kind, professional, and always willing to help with a smile. It’s rare to come across employees who care so deeply about making guests feel welcome, and they both did exactly that. Their attention to detail and willingness to go the extra mile made a lasting impression on our family.
Exceptional customer service is becoming harder and harder to find, and Frank and Rick reminded us what true hospitality looks like. They are a tremendous asset to the Outrigger Reef, and we hope the hotel recognizes how fortunate they are to have them.
